Maybe Navi never went anywhere and planned on eventually apologizing and coming back to Link but Link himself got directions from the Deku Sprout and was either advised or decided to try and take some sort of shortcut in the Lost Woods and got lost himself. You might be right though, if I were Link and I was looking for Navi, the first person I would ask is the Deku Sprout. I've always looked at the lost woods as something of a portal (of many others) between however many dimensions/universes may exist in the world. Maybe he did find Navi later on in life.Įdit- Maybe Tatl is the Termina version of Navi and gave of the same energy or something. The Hero's Shade is OoT Link, and he lamented not passing on his skills. Maybe it was the Deku Tree Sprout who sent Link in the right direction?

LMK what you think what are some theories you have as to where she went.Īnd if Navi didn't die, why would she leave Hyrule? It could be in the Lost Woods, but then again, the world of Zelda has a lot of woods. Maybe Navi is still in the lost woods alone searching for anyone to help her find her way(sad). It's also possible that she went to ensure the new deku tree sprout can flourish correctly and become mature enough to fill in whatever leadership role he hold over the kokiri, and maybe she got lost in the lost woods leading Link to search there to find her and come across Termina. I think it's possible she ended up finding and dwelling in the then secret dungeon of the temple of time finding it as a safe haven knowing that the sages would do their best to protect it. Having no desire to go through this again, she decides to leave and live her life normally no matter how link manipulates time, as it would be unbeknownst to her. She probably knew that surely, Ganon would be back and there would be no other suitable vigilante than the hero of time and the process could possibly have to be repeated. I theorize that Navi witnessed more than she bargained for, and while she cared for link in whatever way she did, she knew that Link could now always beckon back to using the power of time travel to solve whatever issue was certain to arise in the future. Seeing as her and Link went through A LOT together and Navi traveled through time with him and saw everything I'm sure they MUST have developed a pretty strong friendship, so even if she did leave because she needed to fulfill some destiny to the kokiri if that was the case she was a freaking DRAMA QUEEN about it. We also know that Navi and fairies in general have the ability to show compassion and other emotions showcased when Deku tree meets his demise, or with Tatl when she expresses her concern and other emotions when her brother gets separated from her. It is most likely because Link is Hylian but the fact that link goes searching for her (pretty much confirmed in the beginning of MM) suggests that their bond was stronger than just "hey let's just get this over with".

There's really no way to avoid spoilers but something tells me the majority of the users here have played.Īfter OoT when Navi leaves there are tons of theories I've seen about WHY she leaves. I figured it's probably time that I actually make a Zelda related post here lol.
